Accessory range

Personal Cooling Accessories We Manufacture

We manufacture a full range of personal cooling accessories — the small, wearable, high-repeat items a retailer, distributor, or promotional buyer needs to build a complete summer line from one supplier. They are grouped below by how they cool, because the cooling method decides how strong the effect is, how long it lasts, and how the wearer recharges it. All are available for OEM, ODM, and private label, all can carry your branding, and several can be combined into one mixed kit. Use the three groups to shortlist before you send a brief.

PCM
Phase-Change (PCM) Cooling Accessories

PCM accessories hold a sealed phase-change material that is frozen or chilled first, then melts at a set temperature to give steady, non-freezing cooling for one to several hours before it is re-frozen and reused. They need no water in use and no power, which suits buyers who want a reusable, drip-free product.

PCM neck cooler ring chilled for reuse Passive · reusable

PCM Neck Cooler

A PCM neck cooler is a ring or band worn around the neck holding phase-change material. A common formulation re-solidifies at around 28°C, so it sets at normal room temperature or in a fridge rather than only in a freezer, then holds a cool, non-freezing temperature against the neck for one to several hours. It is reusable, drip-free, and one-size adjustable, which makes it a strong retail and promotional summer product.

PCM helmet cooling pad insert for a hard hat Industrial & sport

Helmet PCM Cooling Pad

A helmet cooling pad is a thin phase-change insert that sits inside a hard hat, sports helmet, or motorcycle helmet to draw heat from the head without changing the helmet's fit or protective function. It is chilled, fitted to the liner, and provides passive cooling that recharges by freezing. It is bought by industrial safety distributors, sports and headwear brands, and outdoor-work suppliers.

Evaporative Cooling Accessories

Evaporative accessories are activated by water: soak, wring, and snap or shake. As the trapped water evaporates, the fabric stays well below air temperature for a couple of hours, and re-wetting reactivates it. They use no power and no freezing, machine-wash, and flat-pack small, which makes them the lowest-cost and highest-volume part of the range — the core of most promotional and sports retail programs.

Evaporative cooling towel Highest volume

Cooling Towel

A cooling towel is made from a hyper-evaporative knit (commonly a PVA or specialty microfiber) that holds water and releases it slowly. Soaked, wrung out, and snapped, it cools by evaporation and stays cool for up to a couple of hours before re-wetting. It is the single highest-volume personal cooling accessory and the staple of sports, gym, outdoor, and promotional ranges.

Cooling hoodie towel draped over the head and neck Hands-free coverage

Cooling Hoodie Towel

A cooling hoodie towel is an evaporative towel shaped with a hood or extended panel so it drapes over the head and neck, giving sun and heat coverage while keeping the hands free. It uses the same moisture-activated fabric as the cooling towel and suits outdoor labor, fishing, hiking, and event giveaways.

Evaporative cooling scarf tied at the neck Everyday · discreet

Cooling Scarf

A cooling scarf is a slim evaporative wrap tied around the neck for discreet, everyday cooling under or over clothing. Some versions add water-absorbing polymer beads sewn into a channel that swell when soaked to hold the cooling longer. It is popular for travel, gardening, commuting, and corporate or event gifting. For a scarf that carries a removable frozen insert instead of evaporative cooling, see the ice-pack scarf in Group C.

Cooling neck wrap covering neck and shoulders Wider coverage

Cooling Neck Wrap

A cooling neck wrap is a wider, contoured evaporative or bead-filled band that covers more of the neck and upper shoulders than a scarf, for longer outdoor sessions. Soaked and worn, it holds moisture against the skin and re-wets in seconds. It is bought for outdoor work, sports sidelines, and senior-comfort ranges.

Evaporative cooling headband Sport · low-cost

Cooling Headband

A cooling headband is an evaporative, moisture-wicking band worn across the forehead to cool the head and absorb sweat during exertion. It is a low-cost, high-repeat sports and fitness item and a frequent promotional and event giveaway.

Cooling cap with evaporative crown panel Shade + cool

Cooling Cap

A cooling cap is a hat with an evaporative crown panel, or an insert pocket for a chilled pad, that cools the head while shading the face. It suits outdoor sport, golf, fishing, agriculture, and branded headwear ranges.

GEL
Gel and Ice-Pack Cooling Accessories

Gel and ice-pack accessories are built around a removable frozen gel or ice insert held in an insulated pocket, for sharper, targeted cooling on one area. Swap the insert to extend the effect; the carrier is reused. This group serves buyers who want stronger, more localized relief than evaporative or comfort-focused wellness products.

Ice-Pack Scarf

An ice-pack scarf carries a small removable frozen gel insert in an insulated neck pocket for stronger, more localized cooling than an evaporative scarf. The wearer freezes the insert, slides it in, and swaps in a fresh one to continue. It is bought for heat-relief, medical-comfort, and outdoor-work ranges. We supply the scarf together with its inserts; for standalone reusable gel and hot/cold packs sold on their own, see our gel ice pack line.

Personal Cooling Mat / Seat Cushion

A personal cooling mat is a gel or phase-change pad a person sits or rests on to draw heat away during travel, office, or outdoor use. It needs no power and recharges in shade or a cool space. This is the human-use seat and travel mat; for pet cooling mats, beds, and pads, see our pet cooling range.

Ways to order

How You Can Order: OEM, ODM, Private Label, and Wholesale

There are four ways to work with us on personal cooling accessories. Because these are small, brandable, point-of-sale items, most buyers come for private label and mixed kits rather than a single custom-engineered product. Choose the route that matches how finished your idea is; the exact specifications you can change are detailed below in How We Customize Personal Cooling Accessories.

OEM

You bring your own design or technical spec — a custom towel shape, a specific neck cooler, a branded kit — and we manufacture the accessory to it. Best when you already have a defined product.

ODM

You start from one of our existing accessory designs and adjust the fabric, size, fill, or finish. Best when you want a proven base and a fast path to sample.

Private Label

Your logo, woven or printed labels, hangtags, header cards, and retail or gift packaging applied across any accessory, or across a mixed kit, on an OEM or ODM order. An NDA is available before you share artwork.

Most common route

Wholesale / Blank Stock

Standard accessories in bulk without customization, for buyers who want fast turnaround and quick restocks of a known product.

Customization

How We Customize Personal Cooling Accessories

Customization on a personal cooling accessory happens across five areas. For each, you give us your requirement and target market, and we confirm what we will produce on a written spec before any sample is made. Because these items are small and sold at the point of sale, print and packaging carry as much weight as the cooling material itself.

  • Material and cooling fill. Evaporative knit (PVA or microfiber), PCM formulation and temperature, or gel/ice insert, matched to the cooling duration and feel your end user needs. We advise which method fits the product and price point.
  • Size, shape and cut. Towel and wrap dimensions, scarf length, headband and cap sizing, and mat shape, with full size grading to your market.
  • Print and branding. Full-surface sublimation, screen and heat-transfer print, embroidery, woven and printed labels, and molded or printed logos on neck coolers. Small accessories take edge-to-edge branding that larger garments cannot, which is why they work so well as promotional and retail SKUs.
  • Packaging and point-of-sale. This is decisive for retail accessories: header and blister cards, hangtags and barcodes, polybags, mesh sleeves and tubes, gift boxes, and ready-to-hang or shelf-ready cartons produced to your retail spec.
  • Mixed kits and assortments. Several accessory types assembled into one branded kit or gift set, packed and labeled as a single SKU, so you can sell a complete personal cooling set rather than separate items.

Three power-free cooling methods

How they cool

Cooling Methods: Phase-Change, Evaporative, and Gel

The accessories on this page cool in three ways, none of which needs power. The right method depends on how strong the cooling has to be, how long it must last, and how portable it needs to stay. We advise on the trade-off at the brief stage so the product fits your buyers and price point.

Phase-change (PCM)

A sealed material absorbs heat as it melts at a fixed temperature, then is re-frozen or re-chilled and reused. It gives steady, non-freezing cooling for hours with no water in use, and is what we build into neck coolers and helmet pads. The trade-off is that it has to be chilled before each use.

Evaporative

Moisture-activated fabric cools as trapped water evaporates. You just add water; it is light, machine-washable, flat-packs small, and is the lowest-cost method, which is why towels, scarves, neck wraps, headbands, and caps use it. The trade-off is that cooling fades as the fabric dries and slows in very humid air, so it is re-wet to reactivate.

Gel and ice-pack

A frozen gel or ice insert delivers sharp, targeted cooling on one area, and is swapped for a fresh one to extend the effect. It gives the strongest local cooling and is used in ice-pack scarves, eye masks, and personal cooling mats. The trade-off is that it has to be frozen first and cools a focused area rather than the whole body.

Production timeline

OEM Process and Production Lead Times

Every personal cooling accessory order runs through the same six steps. The lead times shown are typical ranges; the exact timeline for your product and quantity is confirmed at the quotation stage.

1

Brief and spec sign-off

You send your brief (accessory types, target market, cooling method, fabric, print, packaging, and whether you want a mixed kit). We return a written technical specification, and both sides sign off before sampling begins.

2

Sampling

We produce a physical sample to the confirmed spec, in your colors, print, and packaging.

Typical: ~5–10 working days
3

Sample review and sign-off

You evaluate the sample for cooling, feel, print, and packaging. We revise if needed; the approved sample and spec become the binding production reference, with color and print tolerances documented.

4

Bulk production

Production runs against the signed sample, with in-line QC at cutting and sewing, filling and sealing, printing, and assembly.

Typical: ~20–35 days, by quantity & SKUs
5

QC and inspection

Before packing, finished accessories are checked against the signed sample for print registration, color, seams, and seal integrity. Third-party inspection can be arranged at your request.

Against the signed sample
6

Packing and shipment

Accessories are packed to your retail, promotional, or gift spec — shelf-ready where required — and shipped by sea, air, or courier with documentation prepared to your requirements.

Order structure

Sample, Trial, Bulk, and Mixed-SKU Orders

We handle four order types so you can verify an accessory and, just as important, build a multi-item range without committing to large volume on every single SKU. Minimums are confirmed per product at the quotation stage and differ by accessory: a printed evaporative towel carries a different practical minimum than a molded PCM neck cooler or a gel-insert eye mask.

Step 01

Sample Order

One or more physical accessories, produced with the same materials and process as bulk, for your internal review, fit and print check, photography, and certification pre-assessment.

Step 02

Trial Order (Small Batch)

A short production run, through the full QC process, to test market response and confirm that bulk will match the signed sample at scale before you place a large order.

Step 03

Bulk Order

The full production run against the signed sample and confirmed spec. Payment terms and scheduling are confirmed at order placement.

Build a range Optional

Mixed-SKU / Assortment Order

Because these are small items, several accessory types or several designs can often be combined into one order to build a starter range, a promotional kit, or a retail assortment without a full bulk run on each item. The practical mixed-order structure is confirmed per program at the quotation stage.

An NDA is available before you share designs or artwork for a private-label accessory.

Personal cooling accessory production and packaging line

Buying personal cooling accessories direct from the factory means consistent print and color across thousands of units, packaging and mixed-kit assembly handled in one place, and bulk held to the sample you approved.

Factory-direct

Sourcing Direct from the Factory vs. a Trading Company

Personal cooling accessories look simple, but a large branded run lives or dies on print consistency, packaging, and the ability to assemble a mixed range. When you source direct from the China-based factory that makes them, the difference shows up in quality control and in how much of the job is handled in one place.

What matters when buying cooling accessories Direct from IceBear Care Through a Trading Company
Print and color consistency Sublimation registration and dye lots are controlled on the same line that prints your run, so color holds across thousands of units. Print issues are relayed to an underlying factory and back, with a lag and a risk of color drift between lots.
Mixed kits and assortments Several accessory types are assembled and packed as one branded SKU in-house, so you can build a kit without a separate vendor. Kitting is subcontracted or declined, which limits the assortments you can offer.
Packaging in one place Header cards, polybags, gift boxes, and shelf-ready cartons are produced and packed with the product. Packaging is split across vendors, raising cost and the risk of a mismatch at the shelf.
Material and compliance routing We tell you which textile and material tests apply to your accessory and market, and which we can support, at the quotation stage. Documents may be shared, withheld, or belong to a different factory than the one making your order.
Lead-time and restock control Scheduling and fast restocks are managed in one place, and any delay is identified and communicated directly. The trader depends on the factory's schedule and passes on updates with a lag.

Full thermal range

One Factory for Cooling and Heating

Personal cooling accessories are one part of what we make. The same factory also manufactures cooling vests and fan jackets, electric heated apparel, gel and hot/cold packs, and a full pet cooling and heating range, which lets seasonal and multi-category buyers consolidate suppliers and ship mixed categories together. We keep this page focused on personal cooling accessories; for the other lines, see the links below.

Compliance

Certifications for Personal Cooling Accessories

Certification requirements for a personal cooling accessory depend on the item and on the market you sell into. We tell you which documents apply, which we can provide, and which would need testing, at the quotation stage. We do not list certificates we cannot produce documentation for.

Skin-contact textiles

For towels, scarves, neck wraps, headbands, caps, and mask covers worn against the skin, OEKO-TEX–type testing for harmful substances applies. We can support and arrange this testing for your target market.

OEKO-TEX–type Harmful-substance testing

Cooling fills and inserts (PCM & gel)

For materials that contact or are handled near the skin, non-toxic material and safety data applies, and where your market requires it, REACH or California Proposition 65–type substance checks. We can support and arrange the applicable testing.

Non-toxic material data REACH–type Prop 65–type

State your target market and retail channel in your brief, and we will confirm the applicable certifications and what is needed to meet them before you commit to production.

Lower your risk

How We Reduce Your Sourcing Risk

The most common failure in contract manufacturing is a bulk run that does not match the approved sample — and for branded accessories, that usually means print or color drift. Our process is built to remove that risk:

Sample-first
You approve a physical accessory, including its print and packaging, before any bulk runs.
Written spec & signed sample
Production is measured against the document and the sample you signed off, not a description, and print and color tolerances are documented in advance.
Consistency checks across the run
Print registration, color, seams, and seal integrity are checked against the signed sample, not just at the start of production.
Honest scoping
We tell you what we can and cannot do, including which certifications we hold and which need testing, before you order.
NDA available
Request one before sharing artwork or designs for a private-label accessory.
Direct response
Jack, our sales manager, is your single point of contact and replies within one business day.

A typical path

A promotional-products supplier building a branded summer range starts with samples of a sublimated cooling towel and a neck cooler to confirm the print and feel, places a trial assortment to test sell-through, then scales to a bulk mixed-SKU order on the signed samples. We work to that sequence so each step de-risks the next.
