Reusable Therapy and First-Aid Packs

These are the packs a person applies to the body. They hold a non-toxic, water-based gel sealed in a flexible film or fabric-backed pouch, are frozen for cold relief, and several are also designed to be warmed for hot therapy. They are reused over and over until punctured, which makes a reliable seal the most important thing we build into them.

Reusable Gel Ice Pack

A reusable gel ice pack is the foundational format in this range: a non-toxic, water-based gel sealed in a flexible, leak-proof pouch that is frozen, applied, and re-frozen for repeat use. The gel stays pliable when frozen so the pack conforms to a surface or a body part instead of going rigid like plain ice. It is the base product behind most of the other packs on this page and is bought in volume by general retailers, pharmacies, and brands that want a dependable own-label pack.

Hot and cold therapy gel pack for freezing or microwave heating

Hot and Cold Therapy Pack

A hot and cold therapy pack uses one gel pack for both jobs: freeze it for a cold compress, or warm it in a microwave or hot water for a hot compress, with no electricity and no battery. It suits buyers serving home-health, wellness, and pharmacy ranges where a single dual-purpose pack is more saleable than two separate items. Medical and Physiotherapy Cold Pack

A medical or physiotherapy cold pack is shaped and sized for clinical and rehab use, often in contoured forms for the back, shoulder, knee, or cervical area, and is reused with a protective cover between skin and pack. It is bought by medical-supply distributors, clinics, and physiotherapy brands. Where a pack is sold with a medical or therapeutic claim, the applicable regulatory approvals for the target market are the buyer’s responsibility, and we confirm what we can document at the brief stage.

Sports Injury Ice Pack

A sports injury ice pack is built for the field, the gym, and the training room, where it is applied to joints and muscles for cold therapy after impact or strain. It is usually a tougher, more puncture-resistant build than a basic gel pack, sometimes with a strap or sleeve so it stays in place during movement. It is bought by sports-medicine suppliers, team and fitness brands, and first-aid kit assemblers.

Instant, Single-Use Cold Packs

This group covers the packs that work without a freezer. Instead of being chilled in advance, they turn cold on demand through a chemical reaction inside the pack, which makes them the right choice wherever there is no freezer on hand and a single, immediate use is enough.

Instant / Click Cold Pack

An instant cold pack holds water and a separate salt, kept apart inside the pack until use. Squeezing or clicking the pack breaks the inner barrier; as the salt dissolves it draws in heat and the pack turns cold within seconds, with no freezer needed. It stays cold for a short period, commonly around fifteen to thirty minutes, and is then discarded, which makes it ideal for first-aid kits, emergency and travel use, sporting events, and outdoor supply where pre-freezing is not possible. This is a single-use pack; the rest of the range on this page is reusable.

Food-Safe Cooler and Cold-Chain Packs

This group keeps contents cold rather than treating the body. The packs are made with a food-safe gel and a robust film so they can sit against food, drinks, and temperature-sensitive goods, and they are sized and shaped for coolers, lunch boxes, and shipping cartons.

Cooler and Lunch Box Ice Pack

A cooler and lunch box ice pack keeps food and drinks cold in a cooler bag, lunch box, or picnic basket. It is made with a food-safe gel and a clean, wipeable film, in flat or slim shapes that stack neatly and chill fast. It is bought by cooler-bag and lunch-bag brands, grocery and meal brands, and outdoor and picnic ranges, often as an own-label or bundled pack. Where packs go to food-contact markets, we can support the applicable food-contact testing.

Cold-Chain / Shipping Gel Pack

A cold-chain shipping gel pack holds temperature inside an insulated box or mailer for the journey, protecting food, grocery, and other temperature-sensitive parcels in transit. It is built in larger fills and tougher, puncture-resistant films to survive handling, and can be supplied in different gel weights to match a box size and transit time. It is bought by food and grocery shippers, meal-kit and subscription brands, and parcel and logistics buyers. We supply the packs; validating a full shipping profile for your route is done on your side, and we advise on pack selection at the brief stage.

There are four ways to work with us on gel and ice packs. Because packs are often bought either as a branded retail item or as a component a brand builds into its own product, most buyers come for private label or for packs supplied to their spec. OEM

You bring your own design or technical spec — a particular shape, gel, fill weight, or film — and we manufacture the pack to it. Best when you already have a defined product or a part to match.

ODM

You start from one of our existing pack designs and adjust the gel, shape, size, film, or print. Best when you want a proven base and a fast path to sample.

Private label

Your logo, printed film, labels, and retail or kit packaging applied to any pack, on an OEM or ODM order. This is the most common route for packs, and an NDA is available before you share artwork.

Customization

How We Customize Gel and Ice Packs

Customization on a gel or ice pack happens across five areas. For each, you give us your requirement and target market, and we confirm what we will produce on a written spec before any sample is made.

Gel and fill. Reusable non-toxic gel, a food-safe gel for cooler and cold-chain packs, a dual-rated gel for hot and cold use, or the salt fill for an instant pack. We match the gel and fill weight to the cooling job, the temperature, and how long it has to last.
Shape and size. Flat rectangles, slim cooler sheets, contoured therapy shapes for the back, knee, or shoulder, sectioned grid packs that bend, and sizes matched to a specific bag, box, or part. Custom shapes are tooled to your drawing or sample.
Outer film and finish. Clear or printed film, a soft fabric-backed outer for body contact, a puncture-resistant film for shipping and sports use, and a wipeable food-safe film for cooler packs. We confirm seal type and film against your approved sample.
Print and branding. Printed film, applied labels, and logos, in your colors and placement. You supply artwork; we produce a branding mockup with the product sample.
Packaging and pack-out. Polybag, header card, retail box, kit pack-out, and bulk cartons for cold-chain volume, to your retail, kit, or wholesale spec.

How they work

How Our Packs Work: Reusable Gel, Hot and Cold, and Instant

The packs on this page work in three ways, and the difference decides which one fits a buyer’s product. We advise on the trade-off at the brief stage. Across all three, a clean, durable seal is what makes a pack last and keeps it from leaking, so the film and the heat seal are engineered as carefully as the gel itself.

Reusable gel

A non-toxic, water-based gel, commonly thickened with a cellulose- or polymer-based agent, is sealed in a multi-layer film. Frozen, it stays pliable so it conforms rather than going hard, and it is re-frozen and reused many times.

Trade-off: it has to be chilled before each use, and its working time depends on the gel weight, which is why fill weight is matched to the job.

Hot and cold

The same kind of sealed gel pack is built with a film and gel rated for both freezing and heating, so one pack serves as a cold compress when frozen and a hot compress when warmed in a microwave or hot water. It needs no power. This is passive gel heating, not an electrically heated product.

Trade-off: the gel and film must tolerate both temperature extremes, which is a material choice we confirm at the spec stage.

Instant, single-use

A salt and water held apart inside the pack are mixed by squeezing, and the dissolving salt draws in heat to turn the pack cold for a short period before it is discarded. It needs no freezer, which is its whole point, but it works once. It suits first-aid, emergency, and travel use where pre-freezing is impossible.

Across all reusable packs, every sealed unit is leak-tested before it leaves the line, because a pack that holds its seal through repeated freezing is the difference between a product a buyer reorders and one that is returned.

We handle four order types so you can verify a pack before volume, and so you can buy packs as components for your own product without running a full retail program. Minimums are confirmed per product at the quotation stage and differ by pack: a plain reusable gel pack carries a different practical minimum than a tooled contoured therapy pack or a printed instant pack.

One or more physical packs, produced with the same gel, film, and process as bulk, for your internal review, freeze and seal testing, photography, and certification pre-assessment.

Trial order (small batch)

A short production run, through the full QC and leak-test process, to test market response and confirm that bulk will match the signed sample at scale.

The full production run against the signed sample and confirmed spec. Payment terms and scheduling are confirmed at order placement.

Component / insert supply

Packs produced in bulk to your spec as inserts or components for you to build into your own product — a cooler bag, a therapy wrap, a shipping box, or a first-aid kit — rather than sold as a standalone retail pack. The practical structure for component supply is confirmed per program at the quotation stage.

Certification requirements for a gel or ice pack depend on the pack and on the market you sell into. We tell you which documents apply, which we can provide, and which would need testing, at the quotation stage. We do not list certificates we cannot produce documentation for.

A typical path
